Alexander Kluge is a freelance photographer based in Berlin. He is a story teller.
His focus is on reportage and portrait photography. Street photography gave him a feeling for the „decisive moment,“ which he implements into his reportage. By getting up close to his subjects, he creates authentic images with emotional depth.
While he gives his reportage a certain dynamism through classic compositions and the use of light and shadow, he prefers to dedicate more time in portraits, mainly because he opines, they appear more intimate in result, by choosing large format.
Since March 2023, he has been studying at the Ostkreuz School of Photography in Berlin to further develop his visual style.
